Growing up I would spend hours flicking through hundreds of photos drawn from overflowing shoeboxes in my parent’s wardrobe. An insight in to a world that existed long before me. A courtship, a love that endured and created life. Then our beginnings, faces from long ago who had faded in my mind but were brought to such clarity in an instant. Then as I grew older and loved ones were lost, those same shoeboxes gave comfort and smiles amid some of our darkest moments. Photographs are keepsakes for the deeply sentimental, and only grow in value as we grow in age.

Your newborn session with me is a chance to slow down. To take a moment and breathe among the newborn haze. to take in all of those beautiful little details in a time which is so fleeting. You never need to worry or apologise about your baby feeding, crying or anything else during our session. We’ll take our time, and let those moments of love and adoration unfold naturally before the lens.
